Sixty-seven days, 32 games and 25 losses into a season that began with so many expectations and so much promise, the Timberwolves on Saturday night delivered their first simple winning streak with a 102-92 victory at Chicago.
They did so on their seventh try this season, finally stringing together consecutive victories—on consecutive nights, no less—against a Bulls team missing potential starters Drew Gooden, Kirk Hinrich and Luol Deng.

The Minnesota Timberwolves celebrated their first winning streak of the season -- at the Chicago Bulls' expense. Randy Foye scored 21 points, Al Jefferson added 18 points and 14 rebounds and the Minnesota won consecutive games for the first time this season, beating Chicago 102-92 on Saturday night. "It took us to wait until we got to the New Year to get it," Jefferson said.

With the biggest collapse in a franchise history full of them still fresh in their minds, the Minnesota Timberwolves finally figured out how to close a game. Three days after surrendering a 29-point lead in the final 22 minutes of a loss to Dallas, Al Jefferson had 32 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Timberwolves to a 115-108 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
