Magic Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
Big individual games just don't seem to mean much when the Magic play the Raptors. In fact, they almost are encouraged by the opposition now.
Dwight Howard matched his career high with 39 points Sunday in Toronto, rarely getting double-teamed, but that just meant his Magic were going down to defeat. Earlier this season, Raptors star Chris Bosh had 40 points and 18 rebounds, and Toronto lost in Orlando.
The theory is to let the star do as he pleases. Just make sure the supporting cast doesn't hurt you. The Magic held down Bosh reasonably well Sunday, limiting him to a mere 23 points, but his cast beat the Magic when Anthony Parker scored a surprising 26 points.
The theory makes sense.

Parker scores 26 points as Raptors beat Magic (AP)

It's hard to imagine anything lacking in a 39-point performance by Dwight Howard, but Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy wasn't too happy about his star center's seven missed free throws. Especially considering the Magic lost by six. Anthony Parker scored a season-high 26 points, Chris Bosh added 23 points and 10 rebounds and the Toronto Raptors overcame Howard's big game to beat the Magic 108-102 on...

Wade scores 33, but Magic hold off Heat 86-76 (AP)

Dwyane Wade scored when he wanted to Friday night, until the Miami Heat needed him most. Wade, who had 33 points in the first three quarters, was double-teamed in the final quarter and missed all three of his shots, allowing the Orlando Magic to pull away for an 86-76 victory. Rashard Lewis had 17 points and Jameer Nelson scored 16 for Orlando, which has won nine-straight home games.

Lewis leads Magic over Bulls, 113-94 (AP)

The way he's pouring in the points, Rashard Lewis just might shoot his way into the All-Star game. Lewis set the tone by scoring 16 of his 21 points in the first half and the Orlando Magic rolled over the Chicago Bulls 113-94 for their eighth win in nine games. "Especially in the first half, I felt like I wasn't going to miss a shot," Lewis said.

Stuckey, Pistons end Magic's winning streak at 7 (AP)

Allen Iverson grinned as he looked at the boxscore after the Detroit Pistons' 88-82 victory over the Orlando Magic on Monday night. "I'm not used to seeing myself with 15 points and knowing that I had a good game," he said. "Before, even if I only had 20 points, I didn't think I was doing my job." Iverson was Detroit's fourth-leading scorer on a night when no Pistons player reached 20.

Magic beats Minnesota for seventh straight win (AP)

Jameer Nelson and Hedo Turkoglu made sure there would be no letdown for the Orlando Magic. Turkoglu scored 11 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter, Nelson returned with an injured toe to score 12 in the final frame, and the Magic slowly pulled away to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 118-94 on Saturday night.

In New Orleans last season, Howard edged defending champion Gerald Green for the title in one of the most creative competitions in recent history. Howard scored perfect 50s on both of his first-round dunks -- one of which included his donning a cape for a "Superman"...

Magic dominate Hornets from start, win 88-68 (AP)

First, Stan Van Gundy praised the Orlando Magic after their latest win. Then, he criticized them for a lackluster second half. Hedo Turkoglu scored 20 points to lead the Magic to an 88-68 win over the New Orleans Hornets on Thursday in a matchup of division leaders. "Our first half was our best offensive half of the year," the Orlando coach said.
