After Wednesday night's games, San Jose was leading the NHL with 33 points, followed by the Rangers with 30 and the Bruins with 28. Boston had one game in hand on the Sharks and two on the Rangers.
"We're happy to be where we are in the standings but can't be satisfied," Chuck Kobasew said after the Bruins' wild 7-4 victory over Buffalo on Wednesday night at Boston. "We want to continue to climb.
