Blue Jackets Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
This time, Rostislav Klesla's injury is much more serious.
Klesla suffered a high ankle sprain in a 6-1 win over Buffalo on Friday, and team officials have termed his injury "week-to-week" and say he's out until at least late November. The veteran was limping noticeably on Wednesday and was placed on injured reserve.
It's a big blow, because Klesla is one of the Blue Jackets' top four defensemen, not to mention one of their top penalty killers.
In his absence, the Blue Jackets have elevated Marc Methot to pair with Fedor Tyutin on the No. 2 pair. Oilers 7, Blue Jackets 2: Ugly turned to brutal quickly on Wednesday in Nationwide Arena. After the Blue Jackets scored to make it 4-2 midway through the third, Edmonton scored three goals in...

Wild win in shootout, 3-2 over Blue Jackets (AP)

Maybe Marian Gaborik isn't Minnesota's most important free-agent-to-be. Niklas Backstrom's contract is up after the season, too, and the way he has been guarding the goal he'll be in line for big raise. Marek Zidlicky and Antti Miettinen scored in the shootout and Backstrom made two saves to lift the Wild past the Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-2 on Saturday night.

Leclaire makes 36 saves in Columbus' 6-1 win (AP)

Pascal Leclaire and R.J. Umberger made sure the Columbus Blue Jackets didn't cut any corners. Two days after coach Ken Hitchcock called his team out for a lackadaisical effort in a three-goal loss to Phoenix, the Blue Jackets had no such issues in their greatest offensive output of the season, a 6-1 rout of the Buffalo Sabres on Friday night.
