Penguins Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
Looking to bolster a struggling power play, the Penguins traded one veteran defenseman for another Sunday. Pittsburgh shipped Darryl Sydor to Dallas for Philippe Boucher, a right-handed shooting defenseman with past experience playing the point on the power play.
The Penguins are 7-for-52 on the power play over the last 12 games after a shootout loss to Minnesota at home Tuesday.

General manager Ray Shero said he wanted to provide his young defensemen—specifically Letang and Goligoski—room to grow naturally on the point. The Penguins are without injured defensemen Ryan Whitney and Sergei Gonchar,...

Backstrom strong in net, Wild beat Penguins 2-1 (AP)
