The Caps are showing that this team is not just about Alex Ovechkin.

This year, there's a whole lot more, and that's what championship teams have to do. Teams were paying a lot of attention to Ovechkin earlier this year—much like in last year's playoff series against the Flyers—but other players have stepped up, as in the Capitals' 6-4 victory over the Ducks on Wednesday night at Anaheim.

Ovechkin got his goal and three assists, but he had plenty of help. David Steckel, Mike Green, Nicklas Backstrom, Matt Bradley and Tomas Fleischmann each scored, and that's what the Caps need.

Even better, they got three power-play goals, another way to take the pressure off of Ovechkin.
